Sustainable Living

We offer a number of ways you can help protect our planet. From recycling your batteries, phones, or plastic lids at our on-site stations, donating seeds to our seed library, bringing in your broken items to our Repair Cafe, or swapping books at our little library.

Volunteer

We have the support of a wonderful group of volunteers who help with a range of tasks around the centre. Volunteers assist with gardening, maintenance, administration and helping with our Kings of the Kitchen program! We acknowledge the invaluable assistance they give us and if you would like to join the team, please fill out the form below.

Community Pantry​

We are always looking for pantry donations to offer those in need. Ideal items are ready-to-eat canned goods; vegetables, fruit, proteins, soups & spreads. Visit us at the centre to donate your pantry items today​

Looking for a gift for someone special? Browse our wide range of jewellery, books, ceramics & small sculptures at our Gallery Shop. Buying from our shop will directly make an impact on our community of local extraordinary makers, designers and artists as well as our not-for-profit centre. We are committed to being a platform or launchpad for local makers to make their work known in the local Altona community.

We commit to the process of deep listening and truth telling as we walk shoulder to shoulder with First Nations peoples, and to inspiring all users of our Centre to care for our communities and our country, following the example set by the First Nations people in their enduring occupancy of this land over thousands of generations
